Upgrading of Poole & Wimborne Drainage Pumping Stations
Scope: Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of M&E A&A Works
Executed the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) additions and alterations (A&A) works for the upgrading of Poole and Wimborne Drainage Pumping Stations.
The scope included a comprehensive range of systems such as containerised generator sets, transformers, LV switchgear, busducts, motor control centres (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), local control panels (LCPs), and high-tension (HT) and low-voltage (LV) cabling. Mechanical installations comprised submersible pumps, valves, pipeworks, penstocks, and overhead cranes, supported by ACMV and fire protection systems.
Integrated PLC and SCADA systems were implemented to enable seamless monitoring, control, and operational efficiency across all pumping station facilities. The project enhanced system reliability, capacity, and operational resilience, ensuring effective drainage management and long-term performance.
